Ecological spring cleaning to celebrate Earth Day!

April 22 is Earth Day. At Cartonnerie Montreal ™, every day is a tribute to the Earth. Thanks to our environmentally conscious customers, and every step taken to reduce the environmental footprint and save trees. According to the US Agency for Environmental Protection, each ton of recycled cardboard boxes reduces consumption of energy equivalent to 681 gallons of gasoline, or the need to plant 154 tree seedlings and care for them over 10 years. A performance which explains the fact that recycling reduces the demand for manufacturing new containers.

An ultra-ecological spring cleaning

A sunny spring is finally upon us. As we open our windows to air a bit, we find that the winter and autumn months have left our windows, and the house in great need of refreshment. Moreover, it seems that the indoor air is 10 to 20 times more polluted than outdoor air. It is time to get rid of 900 volatile organic compounds that invade the air in our homes. Whether you are preparing a move or arrival in a new home, sprucing it up always feels good. In any case, we happily propose an arsenal to attack the task of spring cleaning. We suggest these ideas to create green products, that are ecological and economical to protect the environment. Every little bit counts for the Earth. Your home will shine as bright as your smile of satisfaction.

Basic ingredients that are economical and easy to find

Most green cleaning products all have the same base and the ingredients are very easy to find in all stores: vinegar, baking soda, lemon, ecological soap, salt, boiled or distilled water etc. Just a few little tricks to make effective cleaning products.
